This article will help you decide whether you should convert your imported Walmart listings to editable listings. The main risk when converting an imported Walmart listing into an editable listing is that you could lose your Walmart data.
Here are some points we would like you to keep in mind before you convert your imported Walmart listings to editable listings:
1. Our Walmart import is not a complete import: This means that there could be fields that you have filled in for your listing on Walmart, but are missing from your Walmart market listing on Listing Mirror. We only import the title and 1 image. We do not import any category specific information, keywords or complete descriptions.
2. Listing data syncs from LM to Walmart: When we convert an imported Walmart listing into an editable listing, listing data starts syncing from Listing Mirror to Walmart. Listing Mirror will wipe out ALL fields except for UPC, and replace the fields with listing data from the Product listing. So your title, description, images, etc will come from the Product listing.
This means that we will overwrite the data on Walmart with the Product listing data from Listing Mirror.
3. When should I not convert my listings? If you have spent a lot of time or money setting up your Walmart listings and do not want to lose this data, we would recommend that you not convert your Walmart listing into an editable listing. You can still edit your listings on Walmart itself. Listing Mirror will still sync inventory out to Walmart.
For such listings, you will be able to see that they are not editable on Listing Mirror, as shown below:
4. When should I convert my listings? If you don't have a lot of images or data on Walmart, and would like to source your Walmart data from data that is already on Listing Mirror, you can convert your listings to be editable. This will also help you have a central repository for your data on Listing Mirror.
