Listing Mirror's Bulk Edit Templates are powerful spreadsheets that can help you make changes to thousands of your listings with ease! Two of our most powerful spreadsheets (and most under used) our our Category Specific Add/Update and our Missing Category Specifics.
A category specific field is any field that is completely reliant on the category chosen for an item to determine if it is required or needs to exist. Because of this, the Add/Update and Missing category specifics can be very large, it is recommended that you upload these spreadsheets in slightly smaller SKU amounts than you would a different spreadsheet.
Missing Category Specifics
The first spreadsheet we're going to talk about is the missing category specifics spreadsheet. This is the most useful of the two, because it will only download listings that have a missing required category specific field.
To download this spreadsheet, you'll go to the Bulk Edit Templates page, and choose Missing Category Specific and the integration you want to work with:
Once downloaded, the template will look like this:
All fields in Yellow are required fields, and any field in Yellow that does not have anything in the cell is a missing category specific that needs to be filled out! This spreadsheet makes it very easy to see exactly what needs to be updated!
Once you've updated this information, you'll just upload the template and those changes will be made!
Category Specific Add/Update
This spreadsheet is similar to the Missing Category Specific, but will include every possible category specific field for every SKU you have. It's a very large spreadsheet, which is why we recommend working with less SKUs than you normally would in Bulk Templates.
To download this spreadsheet, you'll choose Category Specific Add/Update and the integration you want to work with. I would also recommend using the advanced search feature to limit the SKUs downloaded by either brand, title contains, SKU contains, or something of the like.
This is what the spreadsheet will look like:
This spreadsheet, as stated previous, will contain all category specifics that could relate to any of the SKUs on the spreadsheet, so it can be overwhelming, and should be used in small SKU batches. It does have the required fields in Yellow as well, and can be very handy when wanting to fill out category specifics that are not necessarily required but will help with buyers finding your products!
Once you've edited this spreadsheet, just upload it and those changes will be made!
